Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Oxnard Jewelry Repair website (oxnardjewelryrepair.com) and the jewelry, watch, and related repair services we provide from our shop in Oxnard, California. By using our website, contacting us, or leaving jewelry with us for repair, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use our website or services.

Repair Estimates and Authorization
Every repair begins with a free written estimate. We will not begin any work until you have approved the estimate in person, by phone, by email, or by signing the repair ticket. The price quoted on the written estimate is the price you will pay, unless we discover additional work is required during the repair — in which case we will contact you for re-authorization before proceeding.
If we cannot reach you within 90 days of providing an estimate on an unauthorized repair, we reserve the right to consider the item abandoned (see “Abandoned Property” below).
Pricing and Payment
Prices for our services are listed on our website and on the written estimate we provide. Prices may change without notice on the website, but the price on your signed estimate is locked for that specific repair. We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards, and approved electronic payment methods. Payment is due in full upon pickup.
Sales tax is added at the current California state and Ventura County rates where applicable.
Warranty on Repairs
We provide a sixty-day warranty on the workmanship of every repair we perform, starting from the date you pick up the finished item. If the repair fails because of our workmanship — for example, a soldered chain breaks at the same solder point, or a re-tipped prong fails — we will re-do the repair at no charge.
The warranty does not cover:
- New damage caused by impact, abrasion, exposure to chemicals, or normal wear after the repair.
- Failure of a different part of the same item (for example, a different prong, a new crack, or a different chain link).
- Items damaged by attempted repair by another jeweler after our work.
- Worn-out batteries (watch batteries are warrantied for one year against premature failure only).
- Damage caused by removing or altering our work.
Risk of Loss or Damage
We treat every item left in our care as if it were our own. Repair work, however, involves heat, pressure, chemicals, and precision tools. While we use modern equipment and experienced jewelers, there is always a small risk that an old, brittle, or previously damaged item may not survive a repair attempt. We will discuss known risks with you in writing before beginning any high-risk repair.
Our maximum liability for any single repaired item is limited to the appraised or declared value of that item, up to a maximum of two thousand five hundred dollars (USD 2,500) per item, unless you have purchased optional supplemental insurance from us in writing.
For items valued above USD 2,500, we strongly recommend you carry your own jewelry insurance through your homeowner’s policy or a specialty jewelry insurer such as Jewelers Mutual.
Inspection at Pickup
You must inspect every item at the time of pickup. By accepting the item and signing the pickup ticket, you confirm that the repair is satisfactory and that no new damage occurred during our work. Claims for problems discovered after pickup must be made within sixty days under the workmanship warranty above.
Abandoned Property
If you do not pick up your item within 90 days of being notified that your repair is complete, we will send a final reminder by mail or email. If we still receive no response within 30 days after the reminder, the item will be considered abandoned. We reserve the right to sell or dispose of abandoned items to recover storage and repair costs, in accordance with California Business and Professions Code Section 21700 et seq. (the California Self-Storage Facility Act) and California Civil Code provisions on abandoned personal property.
